Metropoll Research asked participants in its “Heart of Turkey” survey about their expectations for the minimum pension amount in 2025. The results revealed that supporters of different political parties converged on an expectation of 20,000 TL or more.

As the new year approaches, the expectation of pension increases has become a significant topic of discussion. In this regard, MetroPOLL Research conducted a survey to gauge public opinions on pension amounts.

The survey specifically asked participants about their expectations for the minimum pension amount in 2025. The findings showed that a considerable majority of the public expects the minimum pension to be at least 20,000 TL.

Demands of AKP Supporters

Among voters supporting the AKP in the May 14, 2023 elections, 42.9% indicated that the minimum pension should be set at 20,000 TL, while 36.6% argued that it should be equivalent to the minimum wage level.

Demands of CHP Supporters

Among voters supporting the CHP in the same elections, 29.2% stated that the minimum pension should be 20,000 TL, whereas 56.9% believed it should align with the minimum wage level.

The overall results of the research show that 37.1% of participants expect the minimum pension to be 20,000 TL, and 46.4% anticipate it to be at least at the level of the minimum wage.
