Vestel’den Altın Madeni Yatırımı Kararı

Vestel announced to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) that the mining license for its gold mine in Gördes, Manisa, owned by its 50% subsidiary Meta Nickel Cobalt Mining, will be transferred to Polimetal Mining.

Vestel provided a statement regarding the news about the license transfer of Meta, in which it holds a 50% stake.

The statement indicated that the mining license belonging to Meta Nikel Kobalt Madencilik, which is 50% owned by Vestel, will be transferred to Polimetal Madencilik.

The full statement made by Vestel to KAP is as follows:

“On September 7, 2026, various media reports have emerged regarding the transfer of the mining license of our 50% owned subsidiary Meta Nickel Cobalt Mining Industry and Trade Inc. (“Meta”). In accordance with Article 9 of the Capital Markets Board’s Communiqué on Special Situations No II-15.1 regarding ‘Verification of News and Rumors’, it has been deemed necessary to make the following statement.

A binding license transfer agreement has been signed on 7/9/2026 between Meta and Polimetal Madencilik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. (“Polimetal”) regarding the transfer of the mining operating license numbered 60926, located in Gördes district of Manisa province, within the context of Meta’s mining activities. The transaction is subject to the approval of the General Directorate of Mining and Petroleum Affairs (“MAPEG”) in accordance with the relevant legislation, and the transfer will be completed upon obtaining the necessary approvals and recording the transfer in the mining registry. Following the completion of gold mining activities, the relevant license will be returned to Meta free of charge within one (1) year at the latest.

This transaction aims to effectively manage the portfolio by transferring a gold license that is not among the strategic priorities of our subsidiary Meta, and it will have no impact on the consolidated financial statements of Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş.”

FT announced: ACG Metals is acquiring the Keşkek gold project
According to the Financial Times, UK-based ACG Metals will transfer the licenses and rights of the Keşkek gold project in Balıkesir from Meta Nickel, which is part of Zorlu Holding. The agreement, worth $7.85 million, aims for production in the field to begin in mid-2027, with additional drilling expected to reveal millions of tons of new ore resources.
