Kemer Sıkma Politikası Nedir? Detaylı Bilgilerle Anlatım
(Austerity measures, fiscal tightening strategies) These are contractionary economic policies implemented to reduce overall demand in an economy with objectives such as generating resources, lowering inflation rates, decreasing imports while increasing exports to close current account deficits, and servicing external debts. Under austerity measures, the government’s share of social spending within total expenditures is reduced, alongside the implementation of additional taxes and similar initiatives. One of the goals of these policies is to achieve a “primary surplus” in the budget. Following the 2008-2009 Global Crisis, there have been criticisms suggesting that such policies complicate the repayment of external debts.
