İnşaat Sektöründe Uygulanan Tevkifat Oranları Yeniden Belirlendi

Railway lines, trams, funiculars, monorails, metros, and urban rail transport systems, along with shipbuilding and repair projects, will have a withholding tax rate set at 1% for the compensation amounts paid.

The relevant Presidential Decision has been published in the Official Gazette.

Accordingly, the withholding tax rate of 1% will be applied to the compensation amounts paid for railway lines, trams, funiculars, monorails, metros, and urban rail transport systems, as well as shipbuilding and repair projects, which significantly contribute to sustainable economic growth and hold strategic importance in the transport sector.

For other construction and repair projects spanning multiple years, the existing withholding tax rate of 5% will continue to apply to the compensation amounts paid to those carrying out such work.

The regulation has determined that the tax rate to be deducted from compensation payments for the aforementioned projects will be set at 1%.

According to information obtained from the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, this measure aims to enhance the competitiveness of the shipbuilding sector and strengthen logistics infrastructure and connections between railways and ports, which are among the priority reform areas in the Medium-Term Program.

This initiative allows for a reduction in the financial burden associated with shipbuilding and railway system infrastructure projects by waiving 80% of the advance tax paid to increase international competitiveness and lower logistics costs.

The decision came into effect for payments made starting from the beginning of April.
