Tofaş ve Stellantis’ten Ortak Stratejik Anlaşma

Tofaş has signed a contract with the Stellantis Group that outlines the production rights for new model vehicles and the conditions for the sale of spare parts for Stellantis brands.

In a statement on the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) dated March 1, 2023, it was announced that a production contract was signed between the company and Stellantis Europe S.P.A.

The announcement shared details of the agreement, including the following information:

“In our special situation announcement dated March 1, 2023, a production agreement has been signed between our company and Stellantis Europe for the production rights of the new ‘K0’ model light commercial vehicles and ‘Combi versions’ on multi-energy platforms licensed by Stellantis in Turkey, and for determining the sales conditions of the produced vehicles and spare parts, as well as a licensing agreement for the use of intellectual and industrial property rights belonging to the Stellantis Group.”

Target of 1 million vehicles

The statement noted that in accordance with the agreement, a project to be realized with an investment of up to 232 million euros, mostly to be completed this year, aims to produce 1 million vehicles between 2024 and 2032.

It was highlighted that the distribution rights for the vehicles produced under the Fiat brand were granted to Tofaş. It was also stated, “If the Stellantis Automotive shares are acquired by our company, the distribution rights for other Stellantis brands (Peugeot, Citroen, Opel) in Turkey will also transfer to Tofaş.”
